Alright, so school has officially re-opened, I'm going to get screwed for not doing my holiday homework, and I'm getting a portion of the red sea gushing out from my right nostril every few days. Oh well, I hope it's just the weather making me sick, or it might be the difference between the humidity levels between Singapore and USA that my body has not adjusted to. Speaking of which..
Seeing as how USA is such a large country, one can only concur that travelling time is a big problem there. Even before reaching the US, the flight took approximately 14hours from Singapore to San Francisco, via Hong Kong. Interestingly, I managed to fall asleep after watching too many movies.
Our host was Mr John Yeh, one of my father's ex-students from the 1960s Anglican High School. Stayed at his house in San Jose (south of San Francisco) for a night before proceeding on a 7-day tour to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. For the most part, travelling to Las Vegas from Cupertino took a whole day, followed by a rest at a hotel for the night, before resuming travel the next day.
Day 2 brought us to Death Valley, and we spent the whole morning + afternoon getting there, and getting out. Reached Las Vegas in the evening (Finally!), went for night tour, and went back to hotel to slack.
Day 3 = Grand Canyon day. 5 hours to Grand Canyon. 3 hours spent there. 5 hours back to Las Vegas. What more can I say. Fabulous travelling time.
Day 4, spent the whole day getting to Los Angeles. Reached LA in the evening, went to the place where they hold the Oscars award ceremony every year (can't rmb what it was called).
Day 5 - Disneyland. 4th Disneyland visited. (France, Japan, Hong Kong. 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively). 4 down, 1 in Florida to go. Yay. Haha. Hoho. Bah -_-
Day 6 - Universal Studios. Except for the studio tour which featured a 1hour ride around filming locations and had some cool special effects. The other stuff were mainly the same as the one in Japan. Yawn.
Day 7 - Did some sight-seeing on the way back to San Jose. Cool stuff there. Reached "home" at night. Gay.
Next day was a 1 day tour of southern California, and the day after that was a 1 day tour of San Francisco. The day after that was spent slacking at the house for the whole day before proceeding on a shoppiong spree at night in which I bought 5 tops and 1 pants. Owned. Last day was spent slacking, packing up, cleaning up, and getting on the bloody plane to go home. Oh well, at least this trip was much more entertaining than the Taiwan trip.
I've been to so many countries I almost can't remember them all. Shall post some for my own reference, just in case I ever forget.
Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, China, Korea, Japan, USA, Italy, Austria, Lietchenstein ( can't bloody rmb how it's spelt), Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, England.
Hope I didn't miss any European countries. Peace.
